Neuromuscular Therapy
A form of soft tissue massage that helps alleviate chronic muscle and nervous system disorders and problems. It is mainly used to release trigger points, increase circulation, and reduce pain from nerve compression, postural issues, and repetitive movement injuries. A neuromuscular massage aims to go straight to the source of your discomfort and alleviate it.

Medical Massage
Advanced techniques to provide healing focused on injury recovery, improving function, and increasing circulation. This is often indicated pre and post-surgery in which I create a treatment plan as recommended by your surgical physician, and work with great care on and around scar tissue, fascial injuries, joint replacements, cancer recovery, and lymphatic release of toxins.

Prenatal Massage
Therapeutic massage is an important part of the self-care regimen of expecting mommies during pregnancy to improve overall health, reduce stress, and relieve muscle tension. In addition to relieving muscle aches and joint pains, it can improve labor outcomes and newborn health. Research shows prenatal massage therapy can help reduce anxiety, decrease symptoms of depression, relax muscle tension, and improve lymphatic and blood circulation as it addresses many common discomforts associated with the skeletal and circulatory changes brought on by hormonal shifts. And you get to lay face down for part of the session on specially designed prenatal cushions with a hole for the belly creating plenty of space for your baby to relax too!!

Cupping
Cupping therapy is a traditional medicine that originated in China and West Asia. This ancient healing technique has been practiced for thousands of years. Suction from cupping draws fluid into the treated area. This suction force expands and breaks open tiny blood vessels (capillaries) under your skin. Your body replenishes the cupped areas with healthier blood flow and stimulates proper and normal healing at a cellular level. The cups are strategically placed to relieve stuck patterns, move fascial tissue, and offer relief in places of discomfort.

Thai Massage for Women
Thai yoga massage is a traditional therapy combining acupressure, Indian Ayurvedic principles, and assisted yoga postures. This technique deeply relaxes the body through a flowing sequence of yoga-based stretches while applying rhythmic pressure along energy pathways. It includes deep tissue pressure, muscle and joint stretching, and gentle manipulations of the body. It is beneficial for the nervous system from relieving pain to easing symptoms of depression and anxiety. These sessions treat the whole body with a unique movement pattern done on a mat on the floor wearing comfortable loose clothing in a safe and nurturing space.

CranioSacral Therapy
Craniosacral therapy is a form of alternative medicine that uses a gentle light touch to facilitate your body’s innate ability to correct and heal itself by engaging the tissues and fluids surrounding the central nervous system. CST affects all systems in the body and allows pain and dysfunction to be addressed at the source. I will include this in a massage session as needed or requested. When there are non-existent rhythmic movements in areas of the body, including the bones of the skull, gentle adjustments can be made to achieve a therapeutic result. I use subtle palpation and treatment techniques that support the wisdom of your body as it finds its path to wellness.

Massage for Depression, Anxiety, Stress & Insomnia
For many who suffer from a mental health challenge, combining massage therapy with other treatments such as psychotherapy can be beneficial in alleviating symptoms. Massage decreases the heart rate and blood pressure, lowers cortisol levels, and elevates the feel-good neurotransmitters such as serotonin and dopamine. Regular sessions can improve mood and reset circadian rhythms, leading to less stress and anxiety, better sleep, and more energy. I focus on specific acupuncture points and incorporate guided breathwork during the session to induce a state of relaxation that quiets the mind and relieves tension in the body.

Facial Massage for TMJ Disorder and Migraine Relief
The temporomandibular joint (TMJ) connects your head and the side of your jaw. A collection of disorders that cause symptoms like pain and clicking in the joint and surrounding areas can be alleviated with a massage that includes intra-oral treatment, releasing the muscles of the jaw inside the mouth as well as outside, and all muscles of the face, neck and head that are involved. TMJ disorders can sometimes cause or worsen migraines by triggering headache pain due to muscle tightening. A 60-75 minute session on the entire face, scalp, and neck is very effective in assisting pain relief whether it stems from the jaw or tension in the neck muscles.
